As you may have heard, Alport Lane will be closed for roadworks from 28 July to 5 September 2025. We remain open as usual and can be reached via Bakewell, following the B5055, Yield Road, Conksbury Road and Conksbury Lane into Youlgreave.

Our bakery is a celebration of craft, community, and local flavour. Baked in-house each day using thoughtfully sourced, seasonal ingredients, everything we make is rooted in the Peak District – from crusty sourdough to buttery pastries and sweet treats. Enjoy a coffee and something warm in our cosy lounge, where you’ll also find a small bookshop and views over the beautiful Fountain Square in the heart of Youlgreave.

The Bakery

A Taste of Italy in the Peaks. Our bistro brings simple, seasonal Italian dishes to the heart of Youlgreave. Using local produce and time-honoured recipes, we serve handmade pasta, wood-fired specials, and generous plates meant to be shared. Settle in with a glass of wine and take in views over beautiful Fountain Square from our welcoming lounge.

    The Peak District holds some of the best wild fishing in the country, from spring-fed, crystal-clear streams to the wide waters of the River Derwent and stillwaters like Ladybower.
