Hostel

• All hostel bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.

• A deposit may be required to secure your reservation. For certain promotional or group rates, full payment may be required at the time of booking.

• Once confirmed, bookings are only valid for the named guests. Bookings cannot be transferred or sold.

• Entity Identification: Clarify that “Fountain House” refers to the legal entity operating the hostel, bakery, and bistro.

Bakery & Bistro

• Table reservations for groups of 8 or more may require a deposit or pre-order arrangement.

• We reserve the right to cancel unconfirmed bookings.

• Prices are correct at the time of publication but may change without notice.

• Unless otherwise stated, all prices include VAT.

• We accept major credit and debit cards. Full payment is required before departure from the hostel or upon purchase in the bakery and bistro.

By the Guest

• Flexible bookings: May be cancelled or amended free of charge up to a specified time before arrival (details confirmed at booking).

• Non-refundable bookings: Cannot be cancelled or refunded.

• Group bookings: Separate cancellation terms apply and will be confirmed at the time of booking.

By Fountain House

In exceptional circumstances (e.g., operational, safety, or unforeseen events), we may need to amend or cancel a booking. Where this occurs, we will offer an alternative arrangement or full refund. We are not liable for associated costs (such as travel or third-party accommodation).

• Valid photo identification may be required on check-in.

• Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult and accommodated in private rooms (not shared dormitories).

• The hostel is intended for short-term stays. We reserve the right to limit the length of stay.

• Guests are expected to respect fellow residents and Fountain House staff at all times.

• Hostel: Pets are not permitted in hostel accommodation.

• Bakery & Bistro: Well-behaved dogs are welcome in designated areas of the Bakery and Bistro. Owners are responsible for their dogs at all times.

• Smoking: Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is strictly prohibited throughout all Fountain House premises. Additional charges may apply for breaches of this policy.

• Alcohol purchased outside Fountain House may not be consumed on the premises.

• We take food allergies seriously, but as our kitchen handles allergens, we cannot guarantee that food and drink will be entirely allergen-free. Please inform staff of any dietary requirements when ordering.

• Guests must not act in a manner that compromises the comfort, safety, or security of others.

• Fountain House reserves the right to refuse service or remove any guest who breaches these Terms or behaves inappropriately.

• You are responsible for your personal belongings during your stay or visit. Fountain House accepts no liability for loss or damage to property.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
